Message from our Pastor

Fr. Bob Regan

One of life's greatest responsibilities is the raising of a child.  Part of this responsibility is educating our children. Do we send them to a public school? Do we send them to a private school? Do we homeschool the child? These options must be carefully & prayerfully discerned by parents.

At St. Symphorosa School, the Catholic school of Two Holy Martyrs Parish, we believe in the education of the whole child; not just their brain but also their heart. We want to stimulate both the minds and hearts of our children.  They will receive the quality fundamental foundation in academics while also learning who they are in light of God's love, and learn how to put what they learn to use for the greater glory of God and the common good of humanity.

We want our children to be more than test takers. We want them to learn math, language, science, history, etc. and learn how to think along the way, not just what to think. The word education (educare in Latin) includes the notion of bringing forth. We want to help each child discover their innate gifts & talents and to allow those gifts & talents to emerge over time.

We are grateful, thankful and blessed for all of our dedicated teachers, aides and volunteers who help make St. Symphorosa School a special place under the leadership of our Principal, Dr. Kathy Berry.  We want to play our part in helping parents educate and form their children. We work together-school and parents, each doing what is necessary to raise our children.

Peace!

Fr. Bob Regan, Pastor
