St. Symphorosa School
Parish School of Two Holy Martyrs
Faith Family Academic Excellence
Despite many roadblocks; funding, the pandemic, and supply chain issues,
St. Symphorosa School kicks-off the school year debuting its new STEM Studio with a
ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022 at 6 p.m. Guests will include
representatives from the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools, Big Shoulders
Fund, Two Holy Martyrs Parish administrators, school parent leaders, alumni and donors.
The STEM Studio will offer students the opportunity to develop their 21st Century skills of
communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking, while exploring science,
technology, engineering, and math through fun and highly educational hands on activities.
The school raised nearly $60,000 in donations for the studio from alumni, private donors
and foundations. A 1966 Alum, Retired CEO and current Notre Dame University professor,
Tom Gallagher, will donate his time to guide the students in the Studio.
