At St. Symphorosa...
Our goal is to develop critical thinkers with higher order thinking skills that will excel in High School and College. Grades 5 – 8 make up the Junior High student body. These grades switch classes where we teachers use a variety of methods to differentiate our instruction to meet their individual needs. We aim for excellence and success.
My name is Chris Garza and I am proud and excited to be the 5th grade homeroom teacher, as well as the Science teacher for Junior High. 5th graders are taught valuable organizational and study skills while being immersed in a common-core based curriculum. They learn to work in cooperative groups to practice becoming the problem solvers of tomorrow. The children’s faith is strengthened as we focus on catechesis and the value of our Catholic identity.
