At St. Symphorosa...

In Religion, second graders will be celebrating the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. They will establish reading strategies to help comprehension across different genres. Writing goes more in-depth on the conventions of writing, while writing for different purposes. Spelling and vocabulary will have students learning hundreds of new words. Math will strengthen the students’ addition and subtraction recall, while providing various problem-solving strategies. In Social Studies, students will compare and contrast different communities while building their map-reading skills. Finally, Science allows for the exploration of energy and animal life cycles.
